We’re open in Exeter

We’re thrilled to say we’ve opened our doors in Exeter!

Located in the former Pipers Farm shop premises on Magdalen Road, the shop will bring to Exeter what we’ve been doing for the last 35 years – good food from good farming. By that we mean food grown or produced by people who care about what they do, the environment and the animals they raise.

The shop was previously a butchers so that will continue with our traditional butchers counter stocked with local free range or organic meat. But there will be much, much more too; sausages, bacon and cured meats from our butchery, pies, pasties, soups, preserves, stocks and cooked meats from our kitchen, as well as vegetables and dairy from Riverford.

“It’s really very exciting and gives us the opportunity to show where we’d like to be going. We’re a small business, deeply rooted in South Devon, but Exeter is the county town, so it feels right to have a shop there,” says Ben.

“Everything about it feels right – two farm shops, two town shops and the (Totnes) Wine & Tapas bar feels manageable by our team and serviceable from our own butchery and kitchen.”

The Exeter shop will be managed by Kirsty Nation, who had previously been running our café in Staverton.

With Christmas fast approaching you will be able to order an organic or free range Christmas turkey and a wealth of other meats for your festive feasts. We’ll also be stocking our delicious organic mince pies – voted the best luxury mince pie by Olive magazine last year – and other Christmas treats including cakes, puddings, chutneys, hams, nut roasts and spiced nuts.

The shop will be open from 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.  Call 01392 278910 or contact us via our website at www.bensfarmshop.co.uk.
