We’re still feeling our way but, judging from the feedback, we’re doing most things right. I said, from the word go, that it was a tapas bar not a restaurant but I’d like to see the menu extended to include a ‘plat du jour’ (or more accurately ‘plato del dia’) included in the offer. Tapas are, by definition, a smaller than small plate to have with a drink. Making a meal by ordering several at the same time doesn’t feel quite right so we’re planning on limiting the tapas (with drink) selection and introducing some slightly larger small plates that are more suitable for combining and sharing. For the most part, it’s been a rip roaring success so thanks to those of you who have been in and sampled the wares and please keep coming.
The day trade has changed considerably since the Tangerine Tree days. We’re trying to keep it Farm Shop X Spanish themed which makes for an exciting breakfast offer. It’s a bit ‘continental’ (croissants are available) with variations of Pan con Tomate, chorizo, jamon, tortilla etc. Churros and, or pancakes could be next but no promises.
